Our Process
Our workflow—digitizing, designing, machining, and finishing—ensures precise execution, minimizes errors and rework, and consistently delivers results that exceed customer expectations.
Designing
We use CAD to develop 3D models from digitized data, ensuring the client's vision and providing the foundation for accurate, seamless fabrication and machining.
Finishing
Parts are finished in-house using our spray booth, with color matching and customizable sheens—from matte to high-gloss—suitable for interiors or exteriors.
Digitizing
We capture exact site measurements in 2D or 3D using templating and/or laser scanning to enable precise, detail-driven design and fabrication workflows.
Machining
3D models are sent to CNC, waterjet, or laser to produce precisely cut components ready for detailing by our skilled carpenters.
Our Story
Founded in 1981 by Jose Mejia, Best Marine Carpentry has remained dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation. Over the decades, BMC has worked across a diverse range of projects, building extensive expertise and a deep understanding of industry best practices.

Ricardo Mejia joined Best Marine Carpentry in 2011 after graduating from the University of Florida’s School of Architecture. Since then, he has integrated computer-aided design, laser scanning, and CNC machining into BMC’s operations—enhancing the decades of expert craftsmanship the team is known for.
